The cast and crew of Annie — now performing at Longwood Gardens — as put on The Brandywiners, signed a statement of support for National Guard and reserves during a recent rehearsal.

At a recent rehearsal for their upcoming production of the musical “Annie”, the cast and crew of THE BRANDYWINERS took an ‘intermission’ and signed a Statement of Support on behalf of the National Guard and Reserve. The patriotic certificate is a symbolic affirmation that THE BRANDYWINERS value and support the military service and sacrifice of the National Guard and Reserve that make up 48% of our Total Defense.

Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a Department of Defense, mostly volunteer organization that seeks to create a culture where all American employers value the military service and sacrifice of their employees. In addition to the Statement of Support program, they also help identify job opportunities for veterans and Guard and Reserve Members through their interactive website, H2H.jobs. Employers interested in hiring veterans and National Guard and Reserve members may post job opportunities free of charge.

The Brandywiners, Ltd. is one of the largest nonprofit theatrical groups in the Delaware Valley, presenting high-quality musicals each summer in the spacious Open Air Theatre at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Proceeds from their concerts and musical theater production will benefit cultural, educational and civic causes throughout the Brandywine Valley.
