AVONDALE — Two men were allegedly killed after a fight at a party Saturday evening, New Garden police say.

Police identified the victims as Cuahuctemoc Bedolla, 27, and Jose Rodriguez, 29. Bedolla, police said, had been at a party at a home on the 1600 block of Baltimore Pike, just a couple of hundred yards from the New Garden/Avondale border. At some point after 10 p.m., witnesses told police that a large fight broke out between guests at the party and some uninvited individuals.

During this melee, police said, Bedolla was apparently stabbed more than once. He was transported to Jennersville Regional Hospital, where police were called. Because of the critical nature of his wounds, he was transported by helicopter to Christiana Hospital, where police said, he died of his wounds.

As New Garden police began investigating the scene, they discovered another victim, Rodriguez, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of death is still pending investigation as of Monday morning and has been turned over to the Chester County Coroner’s Office.

The incident remains under investigation by New Garden Police, Chester County Detectives Office and the Pennsylvania State Police. Police expect to offer updated information later today.

Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Sgt. Joseph Nangle at 610-268-2907, extension 100.
