kellycolumnnewest916Attention Ladies! This Thursday, December 1st, is the date for the annual Holiday #GirlsDayOut in Kennett Square!

If you have never been to this celebration in the past, 2016 is your year to hop on the bandwagon. All day long, from 10am to 8pm, shop for amazing deals at some of the most fashionable boutiques in our town: Ashley Austin, Chantilly Blue, Houppette, No.109Shop, Mamie, and Marche.

Each location will feature their own special incentives, including things like one day discounts, gift wrapping, gifts with purchase, and trunk show merchandise. Sip a fancy cocktail and nibble on local delicacies as you shop the day away! It is the perfect excuse for a fun get together with girlfriends, while simultaneously checking off your holiday gift list.

I did a little pre-shopping this weekend to scope out a few “must haves” at each location.

girlsdayoutAt Ashley Austin, I selected a pair of Hunter boots in a glossy finish…just what you will need when the weather turns snowy.

At Chantilly Blue, I spotted these adorable furry, fingerless gloves. They come in a variety of colors and are perfect for the girl who loves to text.

At Houppette, I found cozy, plaid pajamas for men by UGG. See? You really can check off your list. I wasn’t kidding!

At Mamie, I noticed the ever popular Scout bags in an assortment of patterns. These bags are great to keep in the car for groceries, sports equipment, pool toys, etc.

At Marche, this pom-pom throw blanket caught my eye. I love the mix of colors and think it would be a fantastic present for the home decor enthusiast in your life.

At No.109 Shop, a cropped, black, fur trimmed winter coat stopped me in my tracks. So glamorous and classic, it will be her favorite for years to come.

I hope that this article convinced you that a stroll down State Street on Thursday is a worthwhile venture. Call your bestie and mark the calendar now! I’ll see you there.

Happy Holiday Shopping!
