Kennett Square Police: Local resident wanted in Arizona on multiple charges

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAA traffic stop on Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 8:40 p.m., in the 500 block of West South Street led to an arrest, Kennett Square Police said. Officers determined that Salvador Bernal-Lagunas, 33, of Kennett Square, had an arrest warrant out of Maricopa County, Az., for illegal control of an enterprise, money laundering, assisting a criminal syndicate and smuggling, police said. Bernal-Lagunas was arraigned by the on-call magisterial district judge, who set bail at $100,000, police said. Bernal-Lagunas was remanded to Chester County Prison after failing to post it, police said.

Kennett Square officer arrested Cyrus Robinson, 41, of Kennett Square, for aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment for an incident that occurred on Saturday, Dec. 21, at 6:21 p.m. in the 400 block of East South Street, police said.  After video-arraignment, Robinson was released on $10,000 unsecured bail, police said.

A traffic stop in the 700 block of West State Street on Sunday, Dec. 22, at 1:04 a.m. led to a drunken-driving arrest, police said. Juan Orozco-Cisneros, 30, of Elkton, Md., was video-arraigned by the on-call magisterial district judge and transported to Chester County Prison after failing to post $2,500 cash bail, police said.

On Thursday, Dec. 19, Kennett Square officers arrested Anica Cruz, 30, of Kennett Square, for a theft that allegedly occurred on Tuesday, Dec. 17, in the 800 block of Park Avenue, police said.

Kennett Square Police cited George Moore, 23, of West Chester, for disorderly conduct for an incident that occurred on Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 2:25 a.m. in the 200 block of North Union Street, police said.

Allison Phillips, 30, of Kennett Square, was cited by Kennett Square Police for dog-law violations after her dog was found loose with a cat in its mouth on Thursday, Dec. 19, 1:33 p.m. in the 200 block of North Union Street.

Kennett Square Police cited Filemon Cruz, 62, of Kennett Square, for public drunkenness on Friday, Dec. 20, at 1 a.m. in the 500 block of Center Street, police said. In less than a week, officers cited Cruz, 62, for public drunkenness again on Wednesday, Dec. 25, at 4:40 p.m. at Center and West Mulberry Streets, police said.

Samantha Taylor, 25, of Kennett Square, was arrested for retail theft on Friday, Dec. 20, 12:11 p.m. in the 100 block of South Mill Road, police said.

Kennett Square Police arrested Luis Gutierrez-Ortiz, 21, of Coatesville, for driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the 600 block of Millers Hill Road on Sunday, Dec. 22, at 11:32 p.m., police said. Gutierrez-Ortiz was released to a relative pending a summons from district court, Kennett Square Police said.

Armando Castro-Salinas, 35, of Avondale, was arrested for suspected drunken driving following a traffic stop in the 400 block of East South Street on Wednesday, Dec. 25, at 9:26 p.m., police said.  Castro-Salinas was released at his residence pending a summons from district court, police said.

Kennett Square Police arrested Joshua Seese, 29, of Cochranville, for driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Saturday, Dec. 28, at 3:13 a.m. in the 400 block of South Union Street, police said.  Seese was released to a friend pending a summons from district court, police said.
