Borough police say 26-year-old taken into custody after Jan. 5 incident
A 26-year-old West Grove man was taken into custody after resisting arrest on Sunday, Jan. 5 at 12:37 a.m., said Kennett Square Police. The arrest of Yony Quintana-Martinez followed an incident that occurred in the 600 block of South Union Street, police said. Quintana-Martinez was video-arraigned by the on-call district court and released to constables for transport to Chester County Prison after failing to post $15,000 cash bail.
Kennett Square officers arrested Denean Randolph, 43, of Kennett Square, for simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct for an incident that occurred on Wednesday, Jan. 1, at 7:15 a.m. in the 200 block of East Linden Street, police said.
Sometime overnight on Tuesday, Dec. 31, a window was smashed at a business located in the 500 block of West Cypress Street, police said, adding that an investigation is continuing.
Borough officers are also investigating a residential burglary in the 300 block of East Linden Street sometime between 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 3, and 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 5, police said, adding that cash was stolen.
Kennett Square Police said they cited Janira Duran, 20, of Kennett Square, for violating the borough ordinance that prohibits pets from running at large. An officer found three of her puppies loose in the 700 block of Lafayette Street on Thursday, Jan. 2, at 11:18 a.m., police said.
Guillermo Hernandez-Reza, 29, of Wilmington, De., was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic accident on Saturday, Jan. 4, at 9:02 p.m. in the 100 block of Ridge Avenue, police said. Hernandez-Reza was released to a relative pending a summons from district court, police said.
