Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan announced on Thursday, Jan. 23, that two new assistant district attorneys have been hired.

Cynthia Morgan and Andrew Davis will be sworn-in on Friday, Jan. 24, at 3 p.m. before Chester County Court Judge Anthony A. Sarcione, who served as Chester County District Attorney before being elected to the bench in November 2001.

Cynthia Morgan received her undergraduate degree from Temple University, where she studied political science, art history, and Arabic.  She received her law degree from Temple University School of Law, where she was a member of the National Trial Team and Temple Law Review, a news release from the District Attorney’s Office said.

Andrew Davis received his undergraduate degree from Clemson University.  He received his law degree from Drexel University School of Law.  He is a former intern in the District Attorney’s Office.  He is the son of Patrick Davis, the former Uwchlan Township Police Chief, the release said.

“We are proud to add Cindy Morgan and Andrew Davis to the Chester County District Attorney’s team.  Like a good college football team, we are able continually to add top-notch talent,” District Attorney Tom Hogan said.  “The citizens of Chester County will be served well by Cindy and Andrew.”

Hogan said the new hires fill vacancies in the office, one of which was created when former Chief Deputy District Atttorney Patrick Carmody was sworn in earlier this month as a Chester County Court judge.
