After being apprehended, he showed up as being New Garden fugitive
On Friday, Jan. 17, at 5:59 p.m., Kennett Square Police arrested Victorino Salazar, 34, of Kennett Square, for driving under the influence following a traffic accident in the 400 block of South Walnut Street and a brief foot chase in the 400 block of East State Street, police said. Salazar was found to have a fugitive warrant from New Garden Township Police and was transported to Chester County Prison, police said.
Daniel Gaona-Renteria, 29, of Kennett Square, was arrested for DUI on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 3:17 a.m. following a traffic stop in the 300 block of East Linden Street, police said. Gaona-Renteria was released at his residence pending a summons from district court, police said.
Kennett Square Police arrested a 14-year-old male from Kennett Square for theft by unlawful taking or disposition and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle for an incident that occurred in the 700 block of Lafayette Street on Sunday, Jan. 12, between 9 a.m. and 1:15 p.m., police said. The juvenile, who was not identified because of his age, was taken to the Chester County Juvenile Detention Center, police said.
On Monday, Jan. 13, Kennett Square Police received a report that sometime between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, two windowpanes were broken out of a garage located in the 300 block of Marshall Street, police said, adding that an investigation is continuing.
Kennett Square Police cited Ruben Pena-Torres, 23, of Kennett Square, for disorderly conduct for an incident that occurred on Monday, Jan. 13, at 12:30 p.m. in the 100 block of East State Street, police said.
A 44-year-old Kennett Square resident faces DUI prosecution, police said. Miguel Gutierrez was arrested following a traffic stop on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 9:14 p.m. in the 100 block of Old Kennett Road, police said. Gutierrez was released at his residence pending a summons from district court, police said.
