Needs to raise $10K by March 1; donate and get free Times’ ad
KENNETT SQUARE — In yet another case where this month’s stormy weather has taken a toll, organizers say that fund raising for Kennett High School’s annual After Prom has been buried — and if they can’t raise $10,000 by March 1, the event will have to be called off.

Event organizers said that many kids may have no prom experience if there is no — and that the event provides a safe, monitored destination for those attending the the prom. The funds for 2014 cannot be found in time, all funds raised to date will go toward bringing the event back in 2015.
As a small incentive: the first three local companies to donate $250 or more to the AfterProm fund will get a free, one-month standard box ad (a $100 value) in The Kennett Times. Please contact publisher Mike McGann at
