Flapjack fund-raiser to benefit Historic East Linden Project

Screen Shot 2014-03-07 at 7.03.11 PMThe Historic East Linden Project is holding its annual Flapjack fund-raiser on Saturday, March 15, from 8 to 10 a.m., at the Kennett Applebee’s.

Billed as an opportunity to enjoy a short stack for a tall cause, this fund-raiser will help support the project’s many community programs, organizers said. The project’s success in revitalizing a neighborhood  prompted Kennett Square Police Chief Edward A. Zunino to describe it as having “turned the tides on what was once a crime-ridden, illegal drug-activity area to one of peaceful, law-abiding serenity and tranquility.”

Tickets are $10 for adults, $7.50 for children and can be purchased at the door. For more information or to arrange to buy tickets in advance, visit www.historiceastlindenproject.org or email ecramer@historiceastlindenproject.org.

The Kennett Applebee’s is located at 815 E. Baltimore Pike, Building 3, Kennett Square, 19348.
