Police say he trespassed, refused to leave, made threats and bogus 9-1-1 call
A Nevada man faces multiple charges after refusing to leave a residence in the 200 block of South Union Street on Saturday, March 1, Kennett Square Police said. Police said they took Marcel Chevalier, 43, of Las Vegas, into custody at 8:50 p.m. for a variety of offenses, including criminal trespass, terroristic threats, and false reports for allegedly calling 9-1-1 and stating that police officers had threatened to kill him. Chevalier was video-arraigned and transported to Chester County Prison after failing to post 10 percent of $7,500 bail, police said.
On Monday, Feb. 24, at 3:30 p.m., Kennett Square Police said they cited a 15-year-old male from Kennett Square for retail theft after it was reported that he had stolen a bottle of herbal supplements from a business located in the 100 block of South Mill Road. The juvenile was released to a parent, police said.
A 15-year-old male was cited on Monday, Feb. 24, at 9:26 p.m. for underage drinking in the 300 block of Scarlett Avenue, police said, adding that the teen was released to a parent.
Kennett Square Police said they arrested John Preston, 54, of Cochranville, for suspected DUI following a traffic stop in the 100 block of North Garfield Street on Friday, Feb. 28, at 2 a.m. Preston was released at his residence pending a summons from district court, police said.
Sean Magowan, 24, of West Chester, and Stephen Schroth, 24, of Kennett Square, received citations for disorderly conduct following an incident that occurred on Saturday, March 3 at 1:29 a.m. in the 200 block of East State Street, borough police said.
