13-year-old male cited for curfew violation

Kennett Square Police say he was on street at 4:05 a.m.

Image 2Kennett Square Police said they cited a 13-year-old male for a curfew violation on Sunday, March 9, at  4:05 a.m. in the 100 block of North Broad Street.  The juvenile, who was not identified because of his age, was released at his residence, police said.

A red and black Huffy bicycle was found on Sunday, March 9, at 10:50 a.m. in the 200 block of North Broad Street, police said.

Kennett Square Police arrested Colin Forwood, 27, of Kennett Square, for simple assault and harassment for an incident that occurred on Sunday, March 9, at  2:54 p.m. in the 300 block of Roney Street, police said.  Forwood was released pending a summons from district court, police said.

Kristin Palita, 31, of Kennett Square, received a citation on Tuesday, March 11, at 3:42 p.m. because her dog was running loose in the 400 block of Chestnut Street and attacked another dog, police said.

Kennett Square Police arrested John Preston, 54, of Cochranville, for driving under the influence on Tuesday, March 11, at 9:38 p.m. following a traffic stop at North Mill Road and Meadow Creek Lane, police said.  Preston was released pending a summons from district court, police said.

Earl Hampton, 55, Kennett Square, was detained for an outstanding warrant out of Caln Township on Wednesday, March 12, at 1:36 p.m. in the 700 block of Center Street, Kennett Square Police said, adding that   Hampton was released to Caln Township Police.

State troopers from the Avondale barracks who responded to an accident in the 500 block of Unionville Road in East Marlborough Township on Saturday, March 15, at 2:52 a.m. said they arrested Tamika R. Butcher, 30, of Kennett Square, for driving under the influence.
