Kennett Square Police say he was drinking, punching, making threats

IMG_2031Kennett Square officers arrested Beto Hernandez-Gomez, 20, of Kennett Square, for terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment and underage drinking on Monday, April 14, at 9:36 p.m. in the 400 block South Walnut Street, police said. The 20-year-old victim stated that Hernandez-Gomez threatened to kill him, punched him in the face with a closed fist, and then threatened him with a knife, police said.

Hernandez-Gomez was arraigned at Kennett District Court, where bail was set at $5000 cash, police said. Unable to post it, Hernandez-Gomez was remanded to Chester County Prison, police said.

Hugo Contreras-Pina, 30, of Toughkenamon, faces charges that include aggravated assault, burglary, criminal trespass, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, indecent assault, unlawful restraint, terroristic threats and harassment for an incident that occurred on Wednesday, April 16, at 11:30 p.m., Kennett Square police said. Contreras-Pina was arraigned at Kennett District Court and released after posting 10 percent of $20,000 bail, police said.

Kennett Square Police said they are investigating several instances of vandalism. Sometime overnight on Sunday, April 13, graffiti was spray-painted on a building located in the 200 block of West Cedar Street.

Sometime between 8 and 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, eggs were thrown at a residence in the 500 block of Worrall Avenue, police said. Between 8:45 and 8:51 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, an egg was thrown at an apartment window in the 400 block of Magnolia Street and at a residence located in the 200 block of South Garfield Street.

Alexander Perez, 23, of Kennett Square, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia on Friday, April 18, at 1:20 a.m. in the 300 block of Juniper Street, police said, adding that he was released pending a summons from district court.

Sometime overnight on Friday, April 18, a blue and white Kawasaki mini-bike was stolen from an unlocked shed in the 500 block of Worrall Avenue, police said. An Investigation is continuing.

Kennett Square Police detained Crystal Twyman, 39, of Kennett Square, for a bench warrant on Tuesday, April 22 at12: 23 p.m. in the 600 block of South Broad Street, police said. Twyman was released to constables, police said.

Tony Fountain, 39, of Kennett Square, was detained for a bench warrant out of Montgomery County on Tuesday, April 22, at 5:50 p.m. in the 300 block of East State Street, police said. Kennett Square Police added charges after he was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. Fountain was released to Montgomery County Sheriffs, police said.
