State police say access gained by damaging windows

IMG_0306A warning for nature-lovers: State police from the Avondale barracks reported two recent break-ins and thefts from vehicles at the White Clay Preserve.

State police said the break-ins, which victimized two New Garden Township residents, occurred sometime between 2:10 and 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, in the lot on London Tract Road in London Britain Township. In one instance, a rear window was damaged, and a leather bag containing money and prescription drugs was stolen.  A purse containing personal items was taken in the second theft, which resulted in damage to a front passenger window, police said.

Police want to remind residents not to leave valuables within view. Anyone who may have information is asked to contact the barracks at 610-268-2022.
