Online survey available for residents, business owners

IMG_1659New Garden Township residents can’t say the police aren’t interested in their opinions. The department has announced its first online survey, and is seeking feedback on a host of issues from residents.

“We are always looking for ways to improve our service. We believe this effort will help us achieve this goal,” said Police Chief Gerald R. Simpson in a message emailed to residents.

“Our first survey is designed to ask some basic knowledge questions, along with measuring your understanding and perception of the police department and community. Additionally, you will have an opportunity to grade our policing services. The survey is completely anonymous and it should take you less than 20 minutes to complete.”

The email said the survey would be available for three weeks. Once it is closed, the responses will be analyzed and the findings released to the public. Residents are urged to alert neighbors and/or people who own businesses in the township about the survey.
