Police blotter: DUI, Fleeing charges for Oxford man

PoliceBlotterKENNETT SQUARE — Borough police report the following incidents in recent weeks:

Borough police report arresting Miguel Perez, 26, Oxford, on May 31 at Baltimore Pike and Onix Drive. He was charged with for Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police, False Identification to Law Enforcement, driving while under the influence, and traffic related offenses. Perez, police said, was video-arraigned by the on-call District Court and bail was set at $10,000.00 cash. He was unable to post bail, so Perez was remanded to Chester County Prison.

Also on May 31, Borough police received the report that sometime during the previous week, a residence located on the 400 block of East State Street was allegedly burglarized.  A Poulan chainsaw, two Porta-Cable drills, a brown wallet containing an Access card and insurance cards, four fire extinguishers, two sets of trailer straps, three trailer chains and two tents were reported missing.

Police report that at some point between 5 am on May 30 & 9:48am on May 31, two chrome tire center caps were stolen from a vehicle parked on the 200 block of East Maple Alley.

Police said that at some time during the overnight hours of May 30, several street signs located on Elm Street, 300 block East Linden Street and 300 block East Maple Alley were spray-painted with graffiti.

On May 30, police said that they detained Emanuel Zavala-Zavala, 22, of Kennett Square on an outstanding warrant.
