KHS athletes to continue playing in college

KENNETT SQUARE — A number of Kennett High School 2014 graduates will continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. From private colleges to large state universities, six Kennett student-athletes will participate in five collegiate sports.

“Kennett High School is extremely proud of our student-athletes who are continuing their athletic careers at the next level. Our coaches have worked very hard to prepare our athletes for future play. We are thrilled by their success!” said Jeff Thomas, the school’s athletic director.

Katie DeStefano will play softball at Penn State Brandywine. Sydney Eckert will continue her gymnastics career at Ursinus College. Mackenzie Jaros will play lacrosse for Franciscan University of Steubenville. Brett Rose will be a member of Edinboro University’s football team, and Cory Tomasetti will suit up for the U.S. Coast Guard Academy’s football team. Lucio Pizzini will be play soccer for Delaware Valley College.
