KENNETT SQUARE — Officials at Kennett High School announced the the school has 11 seniors honored as National Merit Commended students.
“We are so proud of these outstanding students, not only for their exceptional performance on standardized tests, but also for all the other ways in which they enrich the Kennett Square community,” said Dr. Michael Barber, Kennett High School principal.
The students honored were: Stephen Doroba, Annabelle Schmitt, Jessica Rosenau, Phoebe Hertler, Arshia Faghri, Matthew Bunke, Kavya Shetty, Hali Jiang, Zixuan Shen, Laura Elliott and Jacob Ettinger,
Although these students do not continue in the competition for Merit Scholarships, they placed among the top 5% of the 1.4 million students who entered the 2015 Merit Scholarship competition by taking the 2013 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
