KENNETT SQUARE — The Kennett High School football team suffered through another tough night, losing a rough 48-6 contest to Ches Mont American champs West Chester Rustin, Friday night.
The Blue Demons (1-8, 0-5 Ches Mont), got down early to the powerful Knights (8-1, 5-0), trailing 28-0 at the end of one quarter and 42-0 at halftime. Although the young Kennett team never quit — finally getting on the scoreboard on a Nick Dunlevy to Luke Beeson 10-yard pass — they were overmatched by Rustin and its star running Terry Loper.
The Blue Demons will look to end their season on a positive note travelling to Great Valley (8-1), which spanked Unionville 41-9, Friday night.
