Although daffodils like these are just about push up through the soil, Chester County will have to endure one more episode of winter weather, as a storm may dump as much as five inches of snow on parts of the county Friday.
At 6:45 p.m., Friday night, it will officially be spring. Unfortunately, for most of Chester County, it appears we may be digging out of a minor snow storm as winter slaps the area with one last nasty storm.
The National Weather Service is saying that snow will start in the early morning hours of Friday and continue through most of the day, with some parts of Chester County expected to see between 3 and 5 inches of the frosty white stuff.
The current computer models suggest that snow accumulations should be higher further to the north in the county, but as always, that could be impacted by the ultimate track of the storm. Another variable: a slight increase in temperature could turn this into a rain/ice/snow event.

A trickle of cancellations of events is already coming in: Kennett Square cancelled its Farmers Market because of the likely poor weather.
The good news: temperatures are supposed to rise back into the mid-50s on Saturday, before a brief cold snap that will keep highs in the 40s Sunday through Tuesday, with temperatures expected to rebound to more seasonable levels during the second half of the week.
