The National Weather Service is reporting that the greater Philadelphia area experienced its coldest February since 1979, with the average temperature coming in at a frigid 25.8 degrees Fahrenheit. But those icy temps didn’t deter customers from flocking to the two Jim Sipala Kia dealerships in Chester County: Kia of West Chester and Kia of Coatesville.

In February, both of Sipala’s stores smashed their sales figures from the same time frame a year earlier. Kia of West Chester’s sales were up a robust 32%, while Kia of Coatesville’s numbers increased by 53%, the dealership announced Monday.

“Some dealers in the Northeast had a slow February, but not us,” said Sipala. “We have tremendous employees at both dealerships who understand the car business is all about building relationships first. You don’t earn the right to ask for a customer’s business until you get to know them and find out about their needs and wants – and they’re doing a terrific job. I couldn’t be more proud of everyone who played a part in achieving these outstanding numbers.”

Kia of West Chester and Kia of Coatesville have reached this level of success, Sipala said, because they have earned their reputation for excellent service not only for offering the finest selection and value to customers, but also for doing their part to give back to the community.

Sipala purchased the West Chester store in 2004, later moving it to its current location at 326 Westtown Road. In 2008, the Coatesville Store (located at 2535 East Lincoln Highway) was added. That store recently underwent a $2 million remodel.
