KENNETT SQUARE — Borough Police Chief Edward Zunino’s no nonsense drug policy appears to be producing results, one dealer at a time.
Shane Reeves, 20 of the Borough was arrested in connection with an investigation spanning several months, conducted by Kennett Square Police Department narcotics officers. Reeves has been charged with two counts of delivery of cocaine and three counts of delivery of marijuana.
The cocaine has an estimated street value of $2100.
Arraigned on Tuesday before Judge Maisano, Reeves was released on $30,000 unsecured bail.
The arrest of Reeves was part of the same investigation that led to the arrest of Roxanne Steele, 59, Kristin Watson, 36, and Ana Claudia Bustos, 31, on Oct. 19 on the 300 blocks of East Linden and State Streets respectively.
After the dawn raid by Kennett Police, Steele was charged with four drug-related counts; Watson, with nine; and Bustos with twelve. Watson and Bustos were charged with possession with the intent to deliver while Steele was charged with possession of cocaine.
Though drugs have been a relatively minor problem in the streets of Kennett, Chief Zunino vows to remain vigilant, stating that investigations will continue.
