PHILADELPHIA — Chester County’s Herr’s Foods is bringing a signature taste of the Philadephia region to a wider world: Chickie & Pete’s Crabfries Seasoned Potato Chips.

Herr’s president Ed Herr and Ed Ciarocchi, Chairman & CEO of Chickie & Pete’s held a special unveiling event for the new chips at the flagship Chickie & Pete’s in South Philadelphia, Tuesday.

The new chips are created to offer the taste of the legendary Chickie & Pete’s Crabfries — a Philadelphia institution since 1977 and widely enjoyed now at the company’s 14 area eateries.

The new potato chips feature the restaurant group’s Famous Crabfries seasoning on Herr’s Ripple Potato Chips along with a special white cheese sauce flavoring to replicate the full flavor of the Famous Crabfries experience.
