To the Editor:

I want to extend my thanks and sincere appreciation to all Kennett Township voters for exercising their privilege by coming out to vote on November 8th. The voters sent a very clear message that there is a need for change in the governance of the Township.

As your newly elected Supervisor, I look forward to serving the residents and meeting the challenges confronting Kennett Township in this new era. Because of the rural character of our beautiful township, we are a much desired place to live. This brings development pressures for the foreseeable future. I intend to work toward achieving a balance between development and preservation of Open Space during my tenure.

As I pledged during the election and thereafter, I will also work to improve openness and inclusiveness for Kennett Township residents, with a particular concern for fiscal responsibility.

I intend to work with the other Supervisors in a spirit of cooperation in order to serve the residents’ needs as the Township navigates the complexities that lie ahead.

I want to recognize and thank Allan Falcoff for his six years of service on the Board of Supervisors. I wish him the best.

I also want to thank my campaign staff and volunteers, all of whom worked tirelessly to embrace and fulfill a shared vision of a township responsive to its residents.

I want the residents of Kennett Township to know that they can reach me with their concerns or suggestions and I will respond promptly to address those issues. I can be reached through Jan 3d by email at scudder@scuddergstevenspa.com. or by phone at 610-444-9840. Thereafter, in addition to those contact points, I will notify everyone of my #’s through the Township.

Scudder G. Stevens,

Supervisor Elect

Kennett Township
