KCSD to hold STEM Family Night, June 7

KENNETT SQUARE — KCSDThe Kennett Consolidated School District is excited to announce its first annual STEM Family Night to be held at Kennett Middle School on June 7 starting at 6:30pm.

 

This fun-filled evening was designed to encourage dynamic interactions among family members and increase awareness of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) opportunities in the Kennett Consolidated School District. Attendees will participate in activities that focus on STEM principles that encourage students to build, create, and learn together.

 

Kennett Consolidated School District staff and students will be run stations where students will work through engineering challenges, prepare liquid Nitrogen ice cream, explore chemistry, learn about Blue Demon Robotics, compete in dragster races, discover 3-D printing, play math games and puzzles, and explore computer apps. The stations are designed for children ages kindergarten through eighth grade.
