Mike Murphy
Mike Murphy, age 54, of Kennett Square, PA, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016, in Ocean City, MD. He was the husband of Janet Inglis Murphy, with whom he shared 32 years of marriage.
Born in West Chester, PA, he was the son of Donna Deveney Murphy of West Chester, PA and the late Harry W. Murphy. He was a 1979 graduate of Unionville High School.
Mike was a truck driver at A. Duie Pyle, Inc. for the past 31 years.
He was an avid NASCAR fan, he enjoyed farming, had a passion for animals, driving his truck, ATV riding, helping others, traveling with his family and hanging with his friends.
He was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in West Chester, PA, and the Italian American Citizens League in Kennett Square, PA.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Christopher James Murphy and his wife Stephanie of Kennett Square, PA and Justin Lewis Murphy of Kennett Square, PA; one brother, Mark R. Murphy and his wife Roseann of West Chester, PA; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard W. and Jean Inglis of Kennett Square, PA; one nephew, Ryan Murphy and one niece, Kristen Murphy.
You are invited to visit with his family and friends from 5:00 to 8:00 on Sunday evening, September 25, 2016 and again from 10:00 to 11:00 on Monday morning, September 26, 2016 at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State Street, Kennett Square, PA. His Funeral service will follow at 11:00. Burial will be in Birmingham-Lafayette Cemetery, West Chester, PA.
