KENNETT SQUARE – The Kennett Library hosts its solstice fair event on July 22 from 10 AM to 3 PM for children, teens and adults. Artists, craftpersons and other vendors will be set up throughout the building with items for sale.
After a wonderful response from both vendors and the community, the library has brought its marketplace event to the summer season. Open to all members of the public, the Summer Solstice Faire invites a wide range of local talent to the building. A stroll through the stacks will treat anyone in attendance to an array of skilled professionals, each offering a glimpse into their unique worlds. Peruse handmade and homemade goods and even watch a few demonstrations first hand.
New program coordinator, Alex Caliva, said he is thrilled to offer a summer edition of the solstice art and craft fair.
“We knew we wanted to host the event more than once per year, and ultimately decided to set it at the high point of our summer programming season,” Caliva said.
The staff look forward to drawing attention to the immense creativity that exists throughout the area and providing the community with a very special day.
The Kennett Library is inviting all of its neighbors as well as anyone passing through the town to come out to the fair.
