Blue Demons attempt to pluck a win from Falcons as districts get underway

Kobayashi and company will need an all out effort against the play off proven Falcons

LEVITTOWN—Boy’s basketball-The number 25 seeded Blue Demons (14-8) will have their hands as they compete in the PIAA Class AAAA District One playoff that will, get underway tonight at 7 pm.

Coach Fergus’ band of Demons will travel to Bucks County to take on the #8 ranked Falcons of Pennsbury, who has a perfect 11-0 record at home this season.

Led by Maalik Rochester, Brock Sheets and young gun Vaughn Jenkins Kennett will need a solid defensive effort if they are to take advantage of a generous bracket lay out and advance to the second round versus the winner of # 9 Norristown and #25Ridley.

Suburban One power house Pennsbury has posted five straiht win coming into the tilt, while the blue and white are riding a winning streak of their own (three games, with the last being a 51-44 win over Unionville) as they take to the hardwood Friday night.

 

The big weekend of district action on tap for Kennett sports continues Saturday..

The Blue Demons wrestling squad will be battling in the individual sectional tournament for class AAA section 4 at Boyertown Area High School at 9:30 am Saturday.

The sectional marks the first steps toward the big dance at the Giant Center in Hershey where the best in the state will battle for the championship in three weeks.

Qualifiers will advance to next week’s southeastern regional.
