Robin A. Flenner

Robin A. Flenner, 52, of Camp Hill, PA and formerly of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018.  She succumbed to a very aggressive form of cancer that struck quickly.  Robin was the ultimate Supermom and will be dearly missed by her husband, Alan, and their children Jacob and Jenna.

Robin grew up in Wilmington, DE, where she first met Alan as a friend in junior high school.  Robin was a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University where she earned a degree in finance.  She started a professional career in banking with J.P. Morgan in Wilmington and later worked with BISYS and the Pennsylvania Bankers Association after relocating to the Harrisburg area.

Robin reconnected with Alan in Wilmington upon meeting him by chance while he was home on leave from the Navy.  Robin became a Navy wife and supported Alan’s military career through his retirement from service as a Captain in the Navy Reserve.  She kept the home fires burning and the children at ease during the many times Alan was away from home on duty.  Robin also supported Alan’s second career as an attorney.

Robin was devoted to her children doing everything she could to prepare them for a good and successful life.   She encouraged their many activities and served in volunteer positions in their schools and organizations.  She was particularly active as a treasurer for Jacob’s Boy Scout troop and with the family’s neighborhood association.  As last gestures of love before their mother’s passing, Jacob placed an Eagle Scout Mother’s pin on Robin’s hospital gown and Jenna flawlessly completed a dance performance at the ZETEO youth retreat.

In addition to her husband and children, Robin is survived by her mother, Carol Hubben, four brothers and a sister, and their families, her mother in-law, Janet Flenner, and a large extended family.  She was predeceased by her father Klaus Hubben.  She was particularly fond of her late grandparents Donald and Doris Stitzer.

A Memorial Service and celebration of Robin’s life will be held at Silver Spring Presbyterian Church in Mechanicsburg, PA on Saturday, February 17th at 2pm with visiting time starting at 1pm.  Memorial Contributions may be made in Robin’s name to SSPC, 444 Silver Spring Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050.
