Junior star will be part of Wolverine women’s lacrosse program in 2013-14

Sophie DuPhily in action last season for Kennett High School. The junior, one of the top girls' lacross players in Pennsylvania, committed to attended the University of Michigan.

KENNETT SQUARE — Sophie duPhily, a junior at Kennett High School, has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Michigan beginning with the 2013-14 school year.

A midfield/attack player for Kennett High and the Phantastix Lacrosse Club (Berwyn, Pa.), duPhily was an ESPN Rise all-star in 2010 and finished 12thin the nation in total assists. She was also the third leading assist-maker in Pennsylvania during the 2010 season.

A three-sport varsity athlete during all three years at Kennett High, duPhily is vice president of her Junior Class and is also a member of the National Honor Society.
