Police say she made false claim that her husband threatened to shoot her; still faces charges over March ambulance ruckus

NEW GARDEN — A Toughkenamon woman is in trouble again after apparently falsely claiming her husband threatened to shoot her last month, just weeks after being charged in an incident when reportedly emergency personnel wouldn’t take her to the hospital of her choice.

According to township police, Kelly Roark, 44 of the Toughkenamon section of the township, was charged with false reports to law enforcement, after claiming on March 13 her husband threatened to shoot her with a gun. Police arrested Roark’s husband that night. After a subsequent investigation, police said Roark later told investigators she made up the charges because she was upset at him for comments he made to her about not caring what happened to her.

This is Roark’s second brush with the law in recent weeks. Just days after the incident involving her husband, she was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment, from an incident on March 22.
Police said Roark called 911 seeking medical assistance and allegedly became combative with emergency personnel when they wouldn’t take her to the hospital of her choice.

She then apparently called 911 again, while emergency personnel were in her living room, trying to get a ride to a hospital other than Jennersville Hospital, which was where EMTs attempted to take her.

He was arraigned by District Justice Matthew Seavey in Avondale and released after posting bail.
