Want to get ahead on your education this winter? You can earn credits between semesters through Delaware County Community College’s accelerated Winter Online session. The session is from Monday, December 9 through Thursday, January 9. Registration is open until December 6. New, visiting and returning students are invited to apply.
Featuring more than 50 courses, the Winter Online session has something for everyone and can help you jump-start your education, or complete general education requirements between semesters. Courses include American History, Elementary Spanish, English Composition, General Psychology, Introduction to Business, Medical Terminology and more. For the full course listing as well as registration instructions, visit www.dccc.edu/winter.
Prospective students, or anyone interested, can participate in a virtual information session to learn more about the Winter Online session without physically visiting one of the College’s locations. Register at www.dccc.edu/winter for one of the following online information sessions:
- 10–11 a.m., Saturday, November 16
- 7–8 p.m., Monday, November 18
- 8–9 p.m., Tuesday, December 3
Online courses are just as rigorous and demanding as classroom courses, but you will have 24/7 access to technical support, including tutorials. “Students who do well in our winter session understand that taking a five-week online course during this timeframe requires discipline and the ability to juggle life’s responsibilities around course requirements,” says Alexander Plachuta, Assistant Dean of Digital Learning and Teaching Innovation. The College is committed to offering students personal attention and assistance, and encourages anyone with questions to call 610-359-5158, or email
