EAST MARLBOROUGH — Unionville High School presents Into the Woods on Thursday, March 19 and Friday, March 20 at 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, March 21 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Stephen Sondheim’s witty, powerful score and James Lapine’s imaginative, darkly humorous book combine to make the Tony Award-winning a favorite among musical lovers and a timeless masterpiece.
A cast of over 60 students presents this imaginative production that brings together popular storybook characters, including Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk and Rapunzel. While everyone is familiar with the traditional fairytale ending of happily ever after, the student performers will have theatergoers on the edge of their seats in anticipation of the unexpected consequences when wishes come true.
“I look forward to seeing and hearing the audiences reactions as they journey Into the Woods with this talented cast and crew,” comments Director Nicole Norton.
