The Chester County Board of Elections approved today the addition of five secure drop-off locations for mail-in and absentee ballots for the 2020 Primary Election.   These additional sites have been created to accommodate voters who are concerned that their mail-in ballot may be returned too late by the postal service to be counted.

The five new drop-off locations are added to the drop-off location already established at the Chester County Government Services Center in West Chester.  Each drop-off location contains a locked, tamper-proof drop box which is guarded and will not be left unattended at any time.

From Monday June 1st through to Primary Election Day, Tuesday, June 2nd, the following locations will accept mail-in and absentee ballots:

Chester County Government Services Center, 601 Westtown Road, West Chester, PA

Located in the lobby. Open all hours until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2nd.

Chester County Public Safety Training Campus, 137 Modena Road, Coatesville, PA

Located at the test site greeter station. Open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Longwood Gardens South Parking Lot, 1010 East Baltimore Pike, Chadds Ford, PA

Located at the test site greeter station.  Open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Kimberton Fair Grounds, 762 Pike Springs Road, Phoenixville, PA

Located in the parking lot.  Open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Warwick County Park, 191 County Park Road, Pottstown, PA

Located in the park office.  Open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Battle of the Clouds Park, 125 North Phoenixville Pike, Malvern, PA

Located in the parking lot.  Open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

All mail-in and absentee ballots are due by 8:00 p.m. on Primary Election Day, Tuesday, June 2, 2020.  Under state election law, voters are only permitted to place their own ballots in the secure drop boxes at the drop-off locations, and cannot drop off ballots for relatives, friends or others.

Chester County received just under 92,000 mail-in and absentee ballot application requests by the application deadline on May 26th, and has so far received nearly 65,000 returned ballots by mail.
