KENNETT — The Kendal Corporation, the supporting organization for the Kendal System, announced today the promotion of two members of its Marketing and Public Relations Department. Laura Jones, former Director of Market Research and Strategy, was named Vice President of Marketing and Communications and Howard Braxton, former Director of Marketing and Sales, was named Vice President of Marketing and Sales.

Jones, a seasoned marketing and sales executive with over 20 years of experience, started her career at Kendal-Crosslands Communities, a Kendal affiliate where she served as an Admissions and Marketing Assistant. In 2019, Jones returned to Kendal as the Interim Director of Sales and Marketing at another Kendal affiliate community, Kendal at Granville. Jones later joined the system’s corporate Marketing and Public Relations team as the Director of Market Research and Strategy for The Kendal Corporation.

With a career spanning three decades, Braxton has deep experience in sales and marketing in the healthcare and senior living industries. Prior to joining Kendal, Braxton served in both regional and corporate management capacities for well-known organizations including Genesis HealthCare, Kindred Health Care and Acts Retirement-Life Communities, as well as, providing sales and marketing consulting for a variety of senior living communities.  Braxton joined Kendal Corporation in 2017 as the Director of Sales and Marketing.

“As dedicated Kendal leaders, Laura and Howard have made substantial and valuable contributions to our marketing and sales function across our system,” said Sean Kelly, President and CEO of Kendal Corporation. “Here at Kendal, we strive to uphold our Quaker values honoring and respecting every person and acting with integrity and generosity at every level. Laura and Howard have not only advanced our organization’s marketing efforts, but they continue to live our values through their work, enthusiasm and collaborative spirit. In their new roles, I am confident they will continue to lead our marketing teams with renewed energy and engagement throughout the system.”

Jones and Braxton will collaborate on developing overall sales, marketing and communication strategies for the Kendal System and will jointly oversee the Kendal Corporation Marketing and Public Relations Department. They also will have a sharper focus on their respective core responsibilities – communications, public relations, marketing, research and strategy for Jones and sales and marketing for Braxton – for The Kendal Corporation and Kendal’s 14 affiliate communities.
