The KUBA Knights 12U travel baseball team returned home on Friday, June 25th from a week-long tournament at Cooperstown All Star Village.  “America’s first and only baseball resort and tournament camp”, CASV provides 12 year-old players a unique opportunity allowing family members to watch from their own dugout.  Each player received a home and away jersey, warm-up jacket, hat and official ring.

During their stay, they competed against teams from all over the country, visited the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown (NY) and bunked together with their three coaches: Steve Fleming, Mark Matthews and Brent McCracken.  The team placed 17th overall out of the 44 teams that were there.  Collectively they hit 18 home runs.

The team would like to thank those community members that donated shoes at Brandywine Ace Pet & Farm and Philter Coffee, bought pumpkins and Wawa coupons, and participated in various other fundraising efforts.  In addition, they would like to extend a special thank you to the following companies for their generous donation despite the pandemic: Country Butcher, Kennett Community Wrestling Club, Leone Pizzini & Sons Inc., Mushroom Central Supply Inc., and Skybound Construction LLC.
