Exton-based United Safety & Survivability Corporation is teaming up with the City of Coatesville to host an open interview day for manufacturing job seekers on Saturday, August 28, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Coatesville City Hall, One City Hall Place, Coatesville, PA. There is a $750 signing bonus awarded to eligible hired candidates.

Candidates will interview directly with Human Resources representatives for the opportunity to secure employment in a variety of roles including production assemblers, welders, machine operators, production line leads, sewing machine operators, and operations leadership. The majority of positions are full time, but part-time opportunities are also available. Mechanical experience is a plus but not necessary. A food truck will be on site to provide food, snacks, and beverages at no charge to all interviewees.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Coatesville has partnered with six local and regional companies in efforts to reduce unemployment in the city and county, according to Coatesville City Manager James Logan. “We are pleased to partner with United Safety to tap into the city’s talent pool,” he says. “Manufacturing remains a growing industry, and many employees have found multiple opportunities for career development and advancement. Our goal is to help job seekers with an opportunity to compete in the workplace and earn a livable wage to work, live and play in their respective neighborhoods.

“I have spoken with many employers about the challenges they face to fill open positions due to COVID- related concerns,” Logan says. “In many cases, individuals have made the personal choice not to return to work until their unemployment benefits run out. But with those enhanced benefits scheduled to come to an end shortly, now is the time to secure a job. That will be a game changer, and we anticipate that the job market will become competitive again. We want job seekers to come out and apply for United Safety’s great job openings, excellent benefits and incentives.”

In addition to competitive pay and career advancement opportunities, United Safety provides ample paid time off and holidays. Eligible employees will enjoy benefits such as 401K, health plans and tuition reimbursement. The company provides use of an on-site gym, paid training, and paid service days, as well as a positive, inclusive environment with social events for employees.
