The Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce announced that 6abc Meteorologist Adam Joseph will emcee the West Chester Christmas Parade when the beloved holiday event returns from a two-year pandemic hiatus on Friday, December 2, 2022.
“For many years now, Adam Joseph and 6abc have been our partners in presenting our hometown parade to our community, and we are thrilled to reunite this holiday season,” said Christy Cosgrove, who will co-host with Joseph. Cosgrove is incoming President of the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors.
Joseph said, “When I think of the Christmas holiday, the West Chester Christmas Parade is where it all begins! From a single guy, to a married guy, to a family guy, this has been a tradition of mine for well over a decade. The heart of the holiday beats in West Chester and I look forward to helping continue this tradition.”
The West Chester Christmas Parade is a major highlight of holiday festivities that extend from Thanksgiving weekend through New Year’s weekend during Chester County Hospital Lights Up Holiday Weekends in West Chester.
“Adam will have a spectacular lineup of hometown entertainment to announce,” said Katie Walker, President of the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce. “The application process just closed for parade participants, and we have some really exciting entries, including traditional favorites as well as creative new surprises.”
Parade-goers can expect a focus on all things local, from floats with local flare by some of Chester County’s most creative designers, to sparkling performances by hometown favorites including nationally recognized marching bands that are exclusively local.
