Lois Edith Simpler
Lois Edith Simpler 96 of Wall, NJ, formerly of Sun City West, AZ, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ. Born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, Lois summered on Breezy Point of Okauchee Lake outside of Oconomowoc, WI. Lois lived and raised her 5 children in Kennett Square, PA before moving to Sun City West, AZ in 1982. She raced sailboats and iceboats, was an avid tennis player. Lois worked as a secretary for the Kennett Square Police Department, Kennett Square, PA until she retired in 1982. While living in Sun City West, she was a member of the Sun City West Posse a neighborhood watch organization and was an active parishioner of the Episcopal Church of the Advent in Sun City West, AZ.
Lois was predeceased by her son Gregory J. Simpler in 1992, her sister Hazel Wendt and brother Herman E. Friedrich. Surviving are her children, Albert A. Simpler III, Sharon A. Simpler, Mitchel W. Simpler and his wife Diane, Mark W. Simpler and his wife Ginger, 6 grandchildren, Cathy Wunderlich and her husband Matthew, Jessica Curtis, Corynne Simpler, Eric Simpler, Shelby Simpler, Shanna Simpler. She also leaves 4 great grandchildren, Chase, Mason, Colton Wunderlich and Kalin Curtis and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 4-8pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. The Funeral Service will be Friday, July 28, 2023, 10:30am at the funeral home followed by burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lois’ memory to National Kidney Association, 30 E. 33rd St. New York, NY 10016.
