Erica Deuso

Erica Deuso (she/they) is a progressive transgender Democrat from Downingtown, who has officially declared her candidacy for State Representative (HD-155, Chester County) in Pennsylvania on November 8th, 2023.

Erica brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to the political landscape. Erica is a pro-labor, pro-choice, pro-environment Democrat who believes that now, on the heels of the November Blue sweep in Chester County, is the time for a true progressive to bring real change to Harrisburg. She recognizes that the 3 E’s Economy, Education, Environment are crucial to the future of Chester County and Pennsylvania. Her legislative agenda will focus on supporting good-paying union jobs, improving education through fair funding, and responsible stewardship of our natural lands, natural resources, and open spaces.

Upon Erica’s victory, she would achieve the historic feat of becoming the first transgender person elected to state government in Pennsylvania. Her victory would give representation to the 80,000+ transgender Pennsylvanians in Harrisburg for the first time.

We’d like to encourage you to explore this historic candidacy further and consider its impact on shaping a more inclusive and diverse political landscape in Pennsylvania.
