Lace up your running shoes for a cause this holiday season! Good Samaritan Services is excited to announce the launch of the inaugural Holiday Hustle Race Series—a festive three-part series of 5K and 1-mile races designed to bring the community together in the spirit of fun, family, and giving back. The series includes three exciting races: the Halloween Howler (Oct. 26), the Turkey Trot (Nov. 28), and the Reindeer Dash (Dec. 14). Participants can choose to run in individual races or take on the ultimate Hustle Challenge by completing all three. Proceeds will directly support those experiencing homelessness in Chester County, helping them transition from crisis to stability.

Hustle Challenge

Runners can compete in the Hustle Challenge by signing up for all three races. Those who complete all three 5ks or 1-milers will receive an exclusive Hustle Challengers Medal after the final race, celebrating their commitment to the cause.

Halloween Howler

The Holiday Hustle kicks off on Oct. 26 with the Halloween Howler at Anson B. Nixon Park in Kennett Square. This event features both 5K and 1-mile race options on paved trails with minimal elevation, making it perfect for runners of all levels. Dogs are welcome on the 1-mile course, adding to the fun for the whole family! Both two-legged and four-legged participants are encouraged to don their best Halloween costumes for a chance to win prizes.

Turkey Trot

The Unionville High School Softball and Baseball teams are partnering with Good Sam this year for their annual Turkey Trot. This race is for all ages and skill levels and will take place on Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 28, at Unionville High School and Patton Middle School.

Reindeer Dash

The series concludes with the Reindeer Dash on Dec. 14 at Anson B. Nixon Park. Runners are encouraged to wear holiday-themed attire to celebrate the holiday season. This final race is a joyful way to close out the year while making a difference in the lives of neighbors in need.
