Kennett gets first loss, falls to Haverford

KENNETT SQUARE — Kennett could not overcome four turnovers and lost a tough 34-14 decision to Haverford, Saturday afternoon at home.

Worse, possibly for the Blue Devils’ postseason hopes, they must travel to meet a frustrated West Chester Rustin this coming Friday night, with the Knights coming off a heartbreaking loss to rival Unionville.

The 2-2 Fords used a grinding ground game and timely turnovers to keep Kennett off the scoreboard — after grabbing a narrow 7-6 lead in the first, the 3-1 Blue Demons trailed for the entire game.

Quarterback Jordan Jones scored both Kennett touchdowns and star running back Jordan Lardani rushed for 70 yards on 22 carries in the loss.
