POCOPSON — How often do you have a chance to share dinner with an Olympic hero?

But local residents will get that chance at a special dinner Oct. 23 at the critically acclaimed Stone Barn (100 Stone Barn Drive, Kennett Square PA 19348), when Brandywine Ace Pet & Farm and Oxford Feed & Lumber host a special event with Boyd Martin, 2012 Olympian, and his wife Silva Martin, one of the area’s top dressage riders and trainers. The evening is co-sponsored by Purina feeds, the featured feed brand at both local stores.

The two stores — local institutions — are owned and operated by the Drennen family. The family members say they are excited to offer local residents such a unique opportunity to interact with one of the greatest eventing riders in the world.

“We are sponsoring this dinner so that our local equine enthusiasts can meet and hear first hand from Boyd about his preparation and experience at the Olympics.   We are proud to be his Purina feed supplier and appreciate his support of our stores and the Purina feed brand,”  said the Drennen brothers, who own and operate the Brandywine Ace Pet & Feed, as well as Oxford Feed and Lumber.

Tickets to the exclusive event are just $20 — with registration advised in advance. To reserve your space — or an entire table — call (610) 793-3080 and ask for Ed or Lindsey at the Brandywine Ace, or call the Oxford store (610) 932-8521. If any remaining spots are available, tickets may be available immediately before the event. Space is limited to the first 150 reservations.

Registration starts at 5:30 p.m., with the buffet dinner starting at 6:30 p.m.

“We are planning a nice evening along with a dinner at the Stone Barn and offering customers access to one of the premier riders in the world.   We hope that everyone has an opportunity to attend.”  the Drennens added.
