Kennett Square resident called 9-1-1 when he saw suspicious activity

An alert neighbor prevented a burglary this morning, Kennett Square police said.

The neighbor called 9-1-1, and when police arrived, they said they found evidence of an attempted break-in.

Police said the suspect is a thin Hispanic male in his early 20s, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9, with orange earrings.
