Alcohol abuse and runaway chickens alleged by borough police
Chickens allegedly running loose and people allegedly playing fast and loose with alcohol dominated police activity in Kennett Square recently.
Antonio Lopez-Lopez, 60, of Kennett Square, was cited for violating the borough ordinance prohibiting livestock from running at large on Oct. 6 at 12:53 p.m. in the 100 block of Scarlett Avenue, police said.
Police reported five people were arrested for public drunkenness: Adrian Garcia-Galan, 29, of Kennett Square, on Oct. 1 at 5:41 p.m. in the 500 block of South Broad Street; Aaron Hallock, 36, of South Jamestown, N.Y., on Oct. 2 at 2:39 a.m. in the 200 block of South Union Street; Feliciano Rosales-Cruz, 30, of Kennett Square, Oct. 3 in the 400 block of East South Street at 9:50 p.m.; Jose Mercado, 56, of Kennett Square, Oct. 5 at 3:14 p.m. in the 400 block of Center Street; and Rolando Lua-Valente, 34, of Kennett Square, Oct. 6 at 1:25 a.m. at Juniper Street and Rose Alley.
Two people were arrested for alleged drunk driving, police said: Jaime Zavala-Romero, 23, of Oxford, Oct. 1 at 1:23 a.m. in the 400 block of North Union Street; and David Zavala-Lopez, 30, of Kennett Square, on Oct. 5 at 6:10 p.m. at East State and North Broad Streets.
Police cited Misael Baranda-Tapia, 18, of West Grove, for underage drinking on Oct. 5 at 12:10 a.m. in the 500 block of Center Street.
Collin Campbell, 19, and Angel Lopez, 28, both of Kennett Square, were cited for disorderly conduct following an incident Oct. 4 at 7:11 p.m. in the 500 block of D Street, police said.
Police said Clifton Richard, 26, of Kennett Square was detained on Oct. 6 in the 300 block of Birch Street for an outstanding bench warrant.
State police from the Avondale barracks arrested Dominic Joseph Diossi, 18, of Kennett Square following a one-vehicle crash on Bayard Road, south of East Baltimore Pike in East Marlborough Township, on Oct. 7 at 9:20 p.m.. Police said they charged Diossi was driving under the influence of alcohol.
