Winterfest to feature offerings from at least 25 craft breweries
Historic Kennett Square is brewing another appetizing opportunity for craft beer lovers: the first annual Kennett Winterfest.
Modeled after the popular Kennett Brewfest, a fund-raiser held in September that usually sells out, Winterfest will enable participants to partake of acclaimed food, beer, and musical entertainment.
Scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 13, from 12:30 to 4 p.m., Winterfest will be held under a tent on South Broad Street between State and Cypress Streets. Tickets, which cost $65 – $15 for designated drivers – are limited and can only be purchased in advance online at http://www.kennettbrewfest.com. No one under 21 will be admitted, and the festival will be held regardless of the weather.
Talula’s Table will provide food, and the Shady Groove Trio, featuring Bernie Gillespie, Matt Kresge and Mark Swartley, will provide music.
A partial list of the brewers and what they will be bringing includes: Round Guys: Sour Mashed Belgian Quad; Lancaster Brewing, Rumspringa Bock & Double Chocolate Milk Stout; Starr Hill, Cryptical Loco-Dry Hopped Imperial Stout, Psycho Kilter Wee Heavy Scotch Ale, The Gift, and Double Platinum Imperial IPA; Stoudt’s Brewing, Fat Dog Stout &
