Police cite three on Feb. 25 for variety of charges
An incident on Feb. 25 at 3:42 p.m. in the 600 block of Lafayette Street resulted in several arrests, Kennett Square police said.
A 17-year-old male from Toughkenamon was referred to juvenile authorities for prohibited offensive weapons, possession of marijuana, criminal trespass and underage drinking. Also arrested were Juan Lopez-Villagomez, 19, and Jose Quintana, 20, both of Toughkenamon, for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal trespass.
Police said they are investigating a report of criminal mischief at 7:40 p.m. on Feb. 24 when the glass door to a residence located in the 100 block of West Cypress Street was shattered with a BB.
A 15-year-old girl from Toughkenamon, a 15-year-old girl from Kennett Square, and a 14-year-old girl from Avondale, were cited for disorderly conduct for an altercation that occurred on Feb. 25 at 3:30 p.m in the 700 block of South Washington Street, police said.
A 16-year-old girl from Newark, De., was referred to juvenile probation for charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct for an altercation that occurred on Feb. 26 at 7:45 a.m. in the 100 block of East South Street, police said.
Police said they are investigating the theft of a cell phone sometime between 5:15 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Feb. 26 from a business located in the 100 block of Race Street.
On Feb. 27 at 1:30 p.m., police said a ZTE touchscreen cell phone was found in Anson B. Nixon Park and taken to the police station.
William Cahill, 19, of Hockessin, and Alec Shannon, 18, of Newark, De., were cited for underage drinking on March 2 at 1:03 a.m. in the 500 block of South Broad Street, police said.
Police said they have charged Jose Angel Arizaga-Baez, 57, of Kennett Square, with theft of property lost or mislaid and receiving stolen property. Police said the theft of a driver’s license occurred on Feb. 2 at 12 p.m. from a business in the 100 block of West Cypress Street.
