PennDOT crews will control traffic Tuesday, Wednesday
Construction is scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday to rehabilitate the Rt. 82 (Creek Road) Bridge over a branch of Red Clay Creek in Kennett Township, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced Friday.
During the work to stabilize the bridge abutment and embankment, Rt. 82 traffic will be controlled by flagging between Old Kennett Road and Knoxlyn Farm Road from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., a PennDOT news release said. The work is part of PennDOT’s $1.8 million project to improve and repair 39 bridges in the Philadelphia region. Loftus Construction, Inc. of Cinnaminson, N.J. is the general contractor on the $1,812,000 state-funded project, the release said.
