Kennett Square resident accused of drug offenses

49-year-old man also face child-endangerment charges 

Image 2A 49-year-old Kennett Square man is facing multiple drug charges, Kennett Square police said.  On May 17, police, assisted by Chester County Detectives and the Municipal Drug Task Force, arrested Charles Glasco Jr., for eight counts of possession of a controlled substance, eight counts of possession with intent to deliver and five counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

In addition, Glasco and Sonya Woods-Glasco, 29, of Kennett Square, were charged with endangering the welfare of children and recklessly endangering another person, police said. Glasco was arraigned at Kennett District Court and unable to post bail of $30,000 cash so he was taken to Chester County Prison, police said.

Borough police are investigating report of criminal mischief that occurred sometime overnight on May 18 when a window was broken at a business located in the 200 block of South Washington Street, police said.

 Police said they are also investigating a reported theft that occurred sometime between 11:30 p.m. on May 23 and 6 a.m. on May 24 when a 1995 red Honda Civic with Pa. registration GHJ0347 was stolen from the 100 block of West Maple Alley. Police said Delaware State Police located the vehicle at the Route 1 / Route 40 interchange in Delaware on May 26.

Cesar Sanchez, 22, and a 15-year-old male, both from Kennett Square, were cited for harassment and disorderly conduct for an incident that occurred on May 24 at 10:46 p.m. in the 200 block of Elm Alley, police said.  A 16-year-old Kennett Square male was cited for disorderly conduct, underage drinking and criminal mischief at 8 p.m. on South Washington Street, police said.

Patrick Manley, 21, of Landenberg, was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop in the 100 block of Center Street on May 25 at 12:54 a.m., police said. Chris Macrory, 18, of West Grove, and John Manley, 19, and Michael Mayen, 18, both of Landenberg, passengers in the vehicle, were cited for underage drinking, police said.

State police from the Avondale barracks said Rigoberto Lopez, 29, of Avondale, was arrested for drunken-driving on Saturday at 11:41 on Penn Green Road at Baltimore Pike in New Garden Township, police said.

Two Pikesville, Md., men were arrested following a traffic stop Thursday on northbound U.S. 1, north of Rt. 52, in Kennett Township at 1:36 a.m., state police said.  Ahmed S. Hooper Jr., 24, was arrested for driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance, and Eric L. Forte Jr., 24, was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia as well as tampering with evidence, state police said.

State police are investigating the May 24 theft of $40 from an unlocked vehicle in the 300 block of Kennett Pike in Kennett Township, police said.
