State police: Woman cited for duck-biting dog

Image 2State police from the Embreeville barracks cited a Kennett Square woman on Thursday for failing to confine her pet. Police said a dog owned by Brooke Holloway, 24, got loose and bit several geese and ducks owned by a West Chester man in the area of the 200 block of Brandywine Drive in Newlin Township at 6:12 p.m.

Kennett Square police said they cite Jorge Lopez-Perez, 35, of Kennett Square, for public drunkenness on July 14 at 9:05pm in the 400 block of South Walnut Street.  Lopez-Perez was released at his residence, police said.

Rodolofo Arizaga, 28, of Kennett Square, faces criminal trespass charges for an incident that occurred July 15 at 10:39 a.m. in the 700 block of Lafayette Street, Kennett Square police said.

Borough police said they are investigating a theft that reportedly occurred on July 12 between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. when a GPS unit was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 100 block of Apple Alley.

Gilberto Jimenez-Ibarra, 24, of Avondale, was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop at West State Street and Cedar Spring Road on July 18 at 10:45 p.m.  Jimenez- was released at his residence pending a summons from district court, borough police said.

A 16-year-old Kennett Square driver traveling south on South Union Street in Kennett Township was cited after she turned her 2005 Nissan Pathfinder left onto Hillendale Road into the path of a 2010 Ford Fusion traveling north on Kaolin Road, state police from the Avondale barracks said. One of the teen’s two passengers sustained minor injury, police said.
