Pocopson natives Glenn and Brad McNemar perform an acoustic music set as part of First Friday in Kennett Square.

KENNETT SQUARE — First Friday saw what is becoming the familiar Flash tent at the entrance to Sycamore Alley, the footpath from State Street to the live concert and entertainment venue.

With a warm welcome from Flash neighbor La Verona Italian Restaurant owners, The Flash tent was set up at the restaurant’s outside herb garden seating area and saw a steady stream of interested locals and visitors on Friday night.

Outdoor diners at La Verona had a taste of excellent food and The Flash provided acoustic music by local musician brothers Glenn and Brad McNemar. Wednesday nights you will find the tent at Anson B.Nixon Park during the free summer concert series in the park.

And two weeks ago that Flash sign could be seen on TV Station Fox 29’s filming of “Jenny on Your Block.”  According to officials from The Flash, feedback from music lovers and store owners in town, confirmed that many still do not even know about The Flash or where it is located, or what really happens there, although it has been there for four years.

So, Flash officials say, high energy efforts to get the word out are a priority and are not going unnoticed. Over 150 schedule of event flyers were graciously accepted by tent visitors in just three nights, they said.
